IdaredA late season variety, the Ida is a cross of the Jonathon and Wagener varieties. A medium to large apple, uniform in shape and solid bright red. Flesh is firm and white, somewhat acid. A late keeping apple, good for eating and cooking. Tart at picking time, but mellowing with storage. This apple tastes best after Christmas.
