SCHOOL FARM TOURS
NEW !! Spring School Tours – May -June 2026 Educational and Fun!
We invite you to join us at Nature’s Bounty. Bring your class to come and explore the farm for an interactive and outdoor learning experience. Extend your classroom learning and have fun with our interactive tours. For nursery school to Grade 8 students. We now offer tours during spring and fall!
TOPICS COVERED
- Plant growth stages and life cycle. Take home planting activity
- Bee keeping and honey making; wild pollinator activity, health and encouragement of Wild Pollinators
- Working with nature to grow food and the journey from farm to fork
- Environmental sustainability, native wildlife species and their role on the farm
- How we grow apples, pumpkins, corn, sunflowers, etc.
- Visit the farm sheep
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- An engaging presentation from our instructors
- Explore the apple orchard, farm property and visit with the sheep
- Outdoor free time to enjoy the play area
- A cider pressing demonstration and tasting
- Each student gets to plant a seed to bring home and help to plant pollinator gardens around the farm.
Rates and Hours
- Students are $11 + HST, minimum 20 students required for booking ($200)
Adults: 1 free adult for every 5 students
Additional Adults: $11 + HST
Bookings can be made for 9:30 arrival – 2:30 departure. Guided tours
Minimum 20 students required for booking ($200)
- Tours recommend time to last 2 hours with time to load and unload the bus
Parents, siblings, and other guests may join the tour, but are required to pay tour admission
- Teachers, support staff and parent chaperones, up to 1 adult per 5 students
- Parents, siblings, and other guests may join the tour, but are required to pay separate admission upon arrival
TIPS FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS
- Tours are rain or shine! This time of year is unpredictable and can be hot and humid or chilly and wet. Check the weather before you come
- All guests (students and adults) should wear closed-toed shoes or boots, warm/weatherproof clothing and hats and mitts if it is going to be cold
